The concept of this scholarship fund was approved by the PSAD Board of Managers in 2012. The Scholarships will be awarded annually to qualified high school graduate applicants who are in need of financial assistance and the fund is to be held in perpetuity.
The intended purpose of the scholarship is to assist those deaf and hard of hearing who desire to pursue or enhance a career which focuses on the nurturing of deaf and hard of hearing children. This could include, but is not necessarily limited to, early childhood education, public school teaching, and social work.
General Scholarship Information
The scholarship is available not only to members of the Pennsylvania Society for the Advancement of the Deaf, but to the deaf and hard of hearing community at large.
