The mission of the Advisory Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ACDHH) is to advise the Director of the Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (hereinafter referred to as the Director) on the development of policies, programs and services affecting people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (Section 3, Act 1997-37).
The following dates are for the ACDHH meetings. They are: Feb. 2nd, April 27th, Sept. 7th and Nov. 2nd.
The meetings are held at the OVR building on 1516 North Sixth Street, Harrisburg , PA from 9:00 A.M to 3 P.M. For those who are not on the Council, lunch is not provided.
The meetings are open to the public. You can make comments during the meeting in relation to issues on the Council’s agenda.
At the conclusion of the meeting, there is an open time slot for visitors to address Council. This is called “Public Time”. This allows you to speak to the Council of other concerns that were not discussed during the meeting. If Council could answer your questions at the time, they will. If not, the Council will try to have an answer at the next meeting.
